Davis Memorial African Methodist Episcopal Church is a place where everyone is welcome and empowered to serve. Davis Memorial AME Church is located on the Westside of Gary in the Tarrytown area.
We are prominently situated on the corner of 21st Avenue and Lane Street in the heart of the community. We are strategically placed for outreach for over 60 years and counting. We reach out and touch the community in a variety of ways and our youth programing, as well as, our music ministry greatly enhances our outreach.

Remember this – a farmer who plants only a few seeds will get a small crop. But the one who plants generously will get a generous crop. You must each decide in your heart how much to give. And don’t give reluctantly or in response to pressure. For God loves a person who gives cheerfully. And God will generously provide all you need. Then you will always have everything you need and plenty left over to share with others. 2Corinthians 9:6-8
Technology makes it convenient to give our tithes, offerings and donations when we are not physically present. We thank God for the generosity of members, friends of Davis and supporters in giving to the ministries and programing of the church for Kingdom building.
