The Annual Heritage Squares Tournament and Dinner

The Annual Heritage Squares Tournament and Dinner took place on Sunday, March 15th. This event is a spin-off of the television show, “Hollywood Squares.” The questions were based on African American History. The categories of the questions included sports, politics, history, entertainment, and inventors. While learning about their heritage the children form lasting relationships with other young people within the church. This year we had youth participate not only from Davis Memorial but also from Bethel AME Church, Michigan City, Indiana and Greater St. James AME Church, Gary, Indiana.
